Zeal is so important.

Do you think you would ever loose your enthusiasm, your eagerness, your passion? To continue helping and supporting your Loved One?

When your day starts to look a little indifferent…

And perhaps your feeling a little lethargic.

The Secret Question is How do you Rezeal?

A professional Carer get’s to recharge their batteries after 8-12 hours of caring.

With  a 12-14 hour break -They get to move away, out of the situation.

A Home Caregiver doesn’t get to do that.

They need to find another way! To ReZeal!

So how do you ReZeal?

How do you Recharge your batteries of enthusiasm, your eagerness, your passion?

Is it through a piece of music?

Is it enjoying a bath?

A favourite book?

A movie?

Is it the special memories you have together?

Is it the look of appreciate in your Loved One’s Eyes?

Know what gives you Zeal! Just Observe You!

Write a list of everything that gives you Zeal.

Add to it regularly as you discover more things that give you Zeal.

Then if you come across a ReZeal time – check your list and do one of them.

    A great reminder that a Home Carer cannot “get away” at the end of a shift – the shift is never-ending. I am glad you are taking time to remind them that it is important for them to take a little time. I like the idea of preparing a list ahead of time, so that when some down-time occurs, they can refer to the list and pick a “rezealer” ….

    Certainly if Z is for Zeal, M is for Motivation. Even when we have it, we do get run down. Being a caregiver for our loved ones really can be quite taxing and takes its toll. Renewing and refreshing ourselves regularly is important to do at any age.
