Caregivers Alphabet – L

L – Look

A Caregiver’s Look is different from the average persons look.

When a Caregiver looks, they are looking beyond the physical look of the person although that is vitally important.

To check for bruises, cuts, bites, abrasions or any injuries or pain.

A Caregiver almost looks through the physical right into the heart of the needs of the person.

How is your Loved One feeling today?

How is your Loved One coping today?

What does your Loved One need right now?

What will your Loved One need next?

What should I be preparing now for your Loved One?

With this outing is it enough for the day?

Can your Loved One take any more today?

When a Caregiver Looks, they look so much deeper then the average person, they almost have X-Ray Vision! SuperCaregiver!

Now it’s time to use your X-Ray Vision in the mirror into the heart of your needs as a Caregiver.

I know it’s not easy, and I know it takes time…

This is your time!

This is your space!

Write a letter of what is written on the heart of your needs?

It’s ok! It’s safe – Only You will discover it! Look Trust Yourself!

  1. Hi Annie,

When my late husband could hardly speak due to the cancer having affected his brain and speech abilities, LOOKing into his eyes and connecting with love spoke with what words could not always say. TOUCH mattered, too. I have found TOUCH mattered most to communicate “I care,” and “I love you,” when caregiving with those who I have given care to as adults. Babies are the same way. LOOK, LOVE, and TOUCH speak volumes to our loved ones.

    Happy Dating and Relationships,
